Lyon are interested in making another raid on Manchester United for Anthony Martial this summer, reports France Football, via Get French Football.
Bruno Genesio’s side only signed Memphis Depay from the Red Devils in January and now have their eye on a second United player that has found life difficult under Jose Mourinho this season.
Martial, who came through the Lyon academy before joining Monaco in 2013, has been shown some tough love from Mourinho this season and been forced to prove himself to the new United boss having been a revelation at the club during his first campaign last year.
The France international has even dropped out of Didier Deschamps’ plans for now and was linked with a move away from Old Trafford in January, although Mourinho still has high hopes for the talented 21-year-old in the future.
Martial was given another chance to impress Mourinho this past weekend and grasped it with both hands, leaving the field with 10 minutes remaining to a hug from his manager.
The former Monaco forward scored the opener and registered an assist for the second in their 2-0 win away to Burnley, although he is still on Lyon’s radar.
Since the start of last season only Zlatan Ibrahimovic (17) has scored more league goals for United than Martial (15).
