Manchester United have signed Monaco striker Anthony Martial, the Premier League outfit have confirmed.
Martial, 19, becomes the world’s most expensive teenager after signing for a reported £36m on a four-year deal with an option for a further year at United.
According to reports close to the deal in France, this price could eventually rise up to a staggering £58m through bonuses.
"I am so excited to be joining Manchester United. I have enjoyed my time at AS Monaco and I would like to thank them and the fans for everything they have done for me," Martial told United's official website.
"I have always wanted to play in the Premier League and to join the biggest club in the world is what every young footballer dreams of.
"I am looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and working with Louis van Gaal who has achieved so much in his career."
The French striker has been tipped as one of the most exciting talents on the planet and has previously been likened to Thierry Henry. Since the start of last season, no teenager has scored more goals than Martial (9).
