Bayern Munich are confident head coach Pep Guardiola will extend his deal at the Allianz Arena before Christmas, according to the Daily Mirror.
Guardiola’s current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and the former Barcelona head coach has been strongly linked the Manchester City hot seat in recent months.
However, Bayern chiefs are extremely confident Guardiola will sign a staggering £17million-a-year deal before the turn of the year.
The Bavarians have already opened up an eight-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga as they search for a historic fourth straight league title and third in a row under Guardiola.
Only Paris Saint-Germain (14) can claim to have put together an unbeaten run longer than Bayern (13) this season across Europe’s top five leagues.
