Goalkeeper insists he won't leave City

Joe Hart insists he will not walk out on Manchester City even if they do sign Marc-Andre ter Stegen, reports the Guardian.

City have been strongly linked with a move for the Germany international in recent days, with suggestions that a deal has been agreed that would see him quit Barcelona for the Etihad.

That has led to rumours that Hart would quit City for pastures new should Ter Stegen become Pep Guardiola's first signing upon his appointment as City boss.

However, Hart would reportedly be willing to battle Ter Stegen for a starting spot, though it's likely the 23-year-old German would want assurances of a regular place in the side before penning any deal.

Goalkeeper insists he won't leave City

The former Borussia Monchengladbach is keen to depart Barcelona having struggled to usurp Claudio Bravo as Luis Enrique's number 1 goalkeeper in La Liga.

While Ter Stegen is Enrique's cup goalkeeper, the Germany international feels he is deserving of being the club's number 1 in all competitions.

Should he move to City for the mooted £20m being discussed, it's believed that Willy Caballero would almost certainly depart the Citizens.
