Borussia Dortmund have announced they have signed Raphael Guerreiro from Ligue 1 side Lorient in a deal worth a reported £9.5m.
Guerreiro, 23, who was also heavily linked with a move to Liverpool at the end of last season, has put pen to paper on a four-year deal keeping him at the club until 2020.
The Lorient full-back, who is Dortmund’s sixth signing of the summer already, is currently on duty with Portugal at Euro 2016 but underwent his medical with Dortmund on Wednesday before sealing the deal.
“Raphael Guerreiro is a technically skilled player who feels at home in several positions. We are very happy that he chose Borussia Dortmund,” BVB sporting director Michael Zorc told their official website.
Guerreiro completed at least 15 more dribbles than any other Lorient player in Ligue 1 last season (54).
