Chelsea to make fourth bid for Stones

Chelsea will make their fourth bid for Everton defender John Stones in the summer despite his poor season, according to The Daily Telegraph.

The Blues failed with three bids last summer, the last totalling £37m, and the reigning Premier League champions’ interest has not waned despite his difficult campaign.

Stones, 21, is widely regarded as one of the most promising central defenders in Europe and he has previously been linked with a move to Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Chelsea are expected to be one of the most active teams in the transfer market in the summer following the disastrous defence of their Premier League title.
