Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is open to the idea of joining Liverpool at the end of the season, reports The Daily Mail.
The England international will only have 12 months to run on his current deal in the summer and contract talks about a renewal have not even started as Oxlade-Chamberlain continues to ponder his future at the club.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular ever since joining Arsenal from Southampton in 2011 and is currently being used as a right wing-back by Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal are reportedly willing to put Oxlade-Chamberlain in the bracket of their £100,000-a-week earners with talk of a five-year deal being prepared for the end of the season, but the prospect of working under Jurgen Klopp has given the 23-year-old something to think about.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has quietly been one of Arsenal’s best performers in 2017 and he was on hand to provide both assists in their 2-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday. It means he has now registered seven assists in the league this season, as many as he recorded in his first five league campaigns at the club combined.
Furthermore, of players that have started at least 20 Premier League games in the last four campaigns, only Wilfried Zaha (1 every 20.7 minutes) and Eden Hazard (1 every 21.1 mins) have required fewer minutes per successful dribble than Oxlade-Chamberlain (1 every 22.2 minutes).
