Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has touched down in London to undergo his medical with Tottenham ahead of a club record move, claims The Guardian.
Tottenham are understood to have agreed an initial €62m (£55.4m) fee with their French counterparts, eclipsing the £42m they paid Ajax for Davinson Sanchez in 2017.
The north London outfit ended their 18-month wait for a signing on Tuesday morning by announcing the arrival of teenage midfielder Jack Clarke from Leeds and are now closing in on the second summer addition.
Ndombele has been linked with a move to Manchester City and Manchester United this summer but is now in London to thrash out personal terms and complete his medical with Tottenham.
The 22-year-old has been earmarked as the ideal long-term replacement for Mousa Dembele, who left Tottenham at the start of the year, and the fee could rise to as much as €72m (£64.5m) if all add-ons are met.
Of players who have attempted at least 100 dribbles in Ligue 1 since August 2017, Ndombele has the best success rate (75.1%).
