Juventus have announced they have agreed to terminate Claudio Marchisio's contract after 25 years at the club.
Marchisio has been at Juventus since he was seven but the Serie A champions have agreed to let the veteran midfielder leave the club to find regular first-team football elsewhere.
The Italy international has gradually slipped down the pecking order at Juventus in recent years and he is now free to secure a permanent move to a new club for the first time in his career.
Max Allegri's side bolstered their midfield ranks with the free transfer of former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can at the start of the summer, forcing Marchisio further down the ranks.
The 32-year-old only started 15 league matches during the 2016/17 campaign and was limited to just 15 Serie A appearances in total last season.
Since making his professional debut for Juventus in 2005, Marchisio has gone on to win nearly everything on offer but the Champions League has alluded him during that time.
Since August 2016, Juventus have a win ratio of 87.9% from 33 matches in Serie A when Marchisio has been involved compared to just 69.8% from the 43 games he has missed.
