Tough-tackling Dutchman on Leicester's radar

Leicester are readying a £2m move for out-of-favour Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong, reports the Sunday People.

The Dutchman only recently signed a fresh three-year contract for the Serie A side, but has struggled to break into the first team under Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Indeed, De Jong has made just four league starts this season, with Milan prepared to entertain offers for the former Manchester City man.

With Leicester hoping to sustain their title bid in the New Year, Claudio Ranieri is keen to add some experience to the midfield, particular with Gokhan Inler expected to depart the King Power Stadium in January.

De Jong, 31, was one of Milan's more consistent performers in Italy's top tier last term, averaging the joint-third most interceptions per game (3.4).
