Juventus target wants to leave Sevilla

Steven N’Zonzi’s representatives have revealed the Juventus target wants to leave Sevilla this summer.

The former Stoke midfielder was briefly linked with a move to Manchester City last season only to sign a new contract with the Spanish side in January.

N’Zonzi has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus this summer and the Serie A champions may now rekindle their interest following news coming out of Sevilla.

“Steven wants to leave and that is the truth,” Estadio Deportivo quote a representative of N’Zonzi as saying, via Football Espana.

“The president and the coach know that this is the truth and we hope they will let him go soon.”

Sevilla would be powerless in keeping the 28-year-old this summer if a rival side matched his €40m (£36.1m) release clause.

N’Zonzi has been a revelation in La Liga since joining Sevilla from Stoke in 2015. In fact, he made more accurate passes in his own half (1323) than any other La Liga player last season.
