Ancelotti insists Coman is staying at Bayern Munich

Carlo Ancelotti has rubbished suggestions Bayern Munich would opt against making Kingsley Coman’s loan deal permanent and send the winger back to Juventus at the end of the season.

Coman, 20, is into the final few months of his two-year loan deal with Bayern and there had been suggestions he would not remain at the Bundesliga giants after falling down the pecking order dramatically under Ancelotti.

The France international enjoyed a breathtaking campaign under Pep Guardiola last season and his future seemed nailed on to be at Bayern but things have gone horribly wrong for the youngster with Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery preferred.

However, given both are now well into the twilight of their career it would only seem a matter of time before Coman re-establishes himself as a first team regular and Ancelotti has ruled out his departure.

“He stays here,” Goal quote Ancelotti as saying ahead of the weekend’s action. “He is important for us now and in the future.”

Coman has only started five league games this season and been forced to make a further eight appearances from the substitute bench, failing to provide a single assist in that time.

In fact, no player that has started at least five games for Bayern in the Bundesliga this season has a lower WhoScored rating than Coman (6.58).
