New Antalyaspor president makes first summer signing

Antalyaspor have confirmed they have signed Deniz Kadah on a free transfer from rivals Rizespor.

The Turkish outfit have confirmed Kadah has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with an option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.

Kadah, 30, arrives as the first signing of a new regime at Antalyaspor after WhoScored.com co-founder Ali Ozturk was named the club’s new president this summer.

Among the objectives Kadah has set out for the coming season he told WhoScored.com he was looking to improve on his statistically calculated weakness of ‘passing’.

Kadah scored 20 goals in his two seasons with Rizespor and finished the last campaign as their top goalscorer (11). Of 17 players that scored at least 10 goals last season only three were more accurate with their shots on goal (Kadah – 50.7%).

The former Rizespor striker, who also has experience playing in Germany from his time with Hannover, has also demonstrated to be a good threat in the air. In fact, Only two players had more headed attempts at goal last season (29) and only two scored more headers (4), which accentuates his statistically calculated strength of ‘aerial duels’.
