Levante have announced they’ve reached a deal in principle to sign former Manchester United striker Giuseppe Rossi on loan for the rest of the season.
Rossi has spent the last three campaigns at Fiorentina but his career has been hampered by reoccurring injuries.
The former Italy international has only started four league games this season and has been forced to watch on from the bench as understudy to Nikola Kalinic.
However, the 28-year-old is now set to undergo his medical with Levante ahead of completing a loan deal for the remainder of the season.
Levante are bottom of La Liga and three points from safety. They will hope Rossi can help share the goal burden with Deyverson to keep them in the Spanish top-flight. Rossi, however, has not scored a league goal since May 2014.
