Valencia have announced they have signed Inter midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia on an initial season-long loan deal with an option to buy.
The 24-year-old has spent the last 2 years with Inter but has failed to hit the heights expected upon his €30m arrival from Monaco in 2015.
Luciano Spalletti has revamped Inter’s midfield options over the summer by signing Fiorentina duo Borja Valero and Matias Vecino, paving the way for Kondogbia to get regular first-team football at Valencia.
Kondogbia is part of an exchange that will see Valencia right-back Joao Cancelo go the other way.
Of players that have attempted at least 25 dribbles in Serie A last season, Kondogbia boasted the best success rate in the league (87.5%).
