Gladbach interested in Stoke defender

Gladbach have made signing Stoke centre back Philipp Wollschied one of their main priorities in the summer, according to The Sun, via Sports Mole.

Wollschied, who only made his loan switch from Bayer Leverkusen permanent at Stoke last summer, has impressed for Mark Hughes side this season.

The tall German defender has been an ever-present at the back for Stoke this season while their other defenders have regularly struggled to stay fit and his performances have caught the interest of Gladbach, who have ambitions to qualify for the Champions League this season.
