Stoke have entered talks with West Brom over a deal to sign Saido Berahino that could potential cost £15m, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Berahino, 21, was heavily linked with a move in excess of £20m to Tottenham last summer but his stock has fallen considerably following a disappointing campaign last term.
Mark Hughes has earmarked signing a natural goalscorer as one of his main transfer priorities this summer and has Berahino in his sights.
The England Under-21 international only has 12 months remaining on his existing deal but West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace is still holding out for maximum money for their young striker.
Berahino only scored four goals in 31 appearances for West Brom last season and finished the campaign as their lowest rated player from those to have started more than six matches (6.33).
