Southampton turn to France for added firepower

Southampton manager Claude Puel will raid former club Nice for the signature of Wylan Cyprien in an attempt to add firepower to the team, reports The Daily Mirror.

The Premier League outfit are now without Charlie Austin for the next three to four months after he dislocated his shoulder in action at the start of the month and that has left them without their top goalscorer for most of the season.

Cyprien, 21, has been tipped by many as the player of the season in France for surprise league leaders Nice after only joining the club shortly after Puel departed Nice for Southampton in the summer.
