Arsenal have rejected a series of enquiries for main striker Olivier Giroud and insist the Frenchman isn’t for sale this summer, reports the Daily Mirror.
Only Antoine Griezmann (6) has scored more goals than Giroud (3) at Euro 2016 this summer, with the frontman impressing for France this summer.
A number of teams supposedly made contact with the Gunners over the 29-year-old’s availability at the end of last season and while they were open to offers, manager Arsene Wenger now insists the Euro 2016 finalist is not for sale.
However, Arsenal’s decision to retain the services of Giroud doesn’t mean they won’t make a move for another striker to ease the goalscoring burden on the frontman this summer.
Alexandre Lacazette and Alvaro Morata have both been strongly linked with a summer switch to the Emirates, though they face significant competition for the latter’s services.
