Juventus have been dealt a huge blow as they look to get their season underway after reports have emerged suggesting midfielder Claudio Marchisio could face another spell on the sidelines through injury.
Marchisio, 29, had already missed the start of the season due to a muscular problem and could only last 45 minutes in Juventus' 1-1 draw with Chievo on Saturday before coming off at halt-time.
The Italy international took to Twitter to reassure fans, but the midfielder could miss the next four weeks with a thigh strain, according to Sky Italia.
It would mean Marchisio would mean Champions League fixtures against Manchester City and Sevilla, as well as league games with Genoa, Napoli, Frosinone and Bologna.
The news would be a real blow for Massimiliano Allegri’s ambitions, with Samir Khedira and Kwadwo Asamoah already sidelined. Juventus are desperately trying to recover from an awful start that has seem them lose two of their opening three league games.
