Tottenham are considering a club-record €45m bid for Schalke midfielder Max Meyer, according to German newspaper Bild, via Get German Football.
Schalke aren’t actively looking to sell the talented midfielder but it is reported that their hands could be tied should they receive such a huge offer for the 20-year-old.
Spurs are reportedly preparing a five-year contract to offer Meyer, in which the Germany international would receive a monumental pay rise.
Since the start of last season no Schalke player has registered more assists in the Bundesliga than Meyer (6).
