Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has revealed he is monitoring Pescara striker Gianluca Lapadula as the Premier League champions begin to prepare their squad for Champions League football next season.
While the Foxes will be focused on retaining as much of their current Premier League winning squad as possible, they will also be out to strengthen in the summer transfer window.
Leicester have already been linked with a move for Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani, but Ranieri has revealed an interest in Juventus target Lapadula.
“I just want some new players who are at the level of my starts, and greater tactical coordination for the team,” Ranieri La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Sky Sports.
“We also look to Italy for the market. Lapadula is very good. We’ve been following him for a while.”
Lapadula is the top goalscorer in Italy’s second-tier this season (24 goals).
