Roma will continue talks with Torino to slash their €20m (£17.3m) asking price for Bruno Peres, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Football Italia.
Financial fair play restrictions mean Roma are unlikely to be able to sign Peres outright this summer but in fact secure a loan deal with a mandatory buy-out clause at the end of the season.
Torino are looking to recoup their full asking price for Peres whereas Roma are keen to barter a deal worth an initial €15m (£12.9m) plus a further €2m (£1.7m) in bonuses.
In the last two Serie A campaigns no defender has completed more dribbles than Peres (176).
