England starlet set for new bumper deal

 

Tottenham are set to reward Dele Alli’s stunning rise by awarding him a new £20,000-a-week deal, according to the London Evening Standard.

 

Alli, 19, has gone from playing in League One to being a regular starter for Spurs and an England international in the space of just 12 months and his stunning start to the campaign has him tipped by many to be a starter for Roy Hodgson at the European Championship’s this summer.

 

The former MK Dons midfielder currently earns £10,000-a-week on the five-and-a-half-year deal he signed with Spurs in January, but is now set to double his earnings with the proposed contract set to run until the summer of 2021.

Of the 20 players aged 21 and under to have featured more than ten times in the Premier League this season, no player has garnered a higher WhoScored rating than Dele Alli (7.27).
