Everton have sent scouts to watch Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi ahead of a January move, according to The Daily Mirror.
N’Zonzi, 27, only joined Sevilla from Stoke last summer but was heavily linked with a move to Leicester in the summer.
The Foxes were not prepared to match N’Zonzi’s £20m-plus buy-out clause in the summer but Everton director of football Steve Walsh, who was at Leicester last summer, has earmarked the Frenchman as an ideal signing as Koeman looks to add power to his squad.
N’Zonzi has completed at least 82 more passes than any other Sevilla player in La Liga this season despite only playing five of their seven league matches (385).
