Wolves are poised to announce former Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert as their new manager, according to the Wolves Express & Star.
Lambert, 47, has been out of work since the end of last season after leaving his position as Blackburn Rovers manager.
Wolves have been on the look out for a new manager after sacking Walter Zenga last month and are understood to be on the verge of announcing Lambert, who spent three years as Villa boss before being sacked in 2015.
The Championship outfit are reportedly holding back on the official confirmation until after Wolves’ big match against fellow relegation strugglers Derby in Saturday’s early kick off.
Only Rotherham (11 games without a win) are on a current longer winless streak than Wolves (6) in the Championship.
