Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is set for another spell on the sidelines after being diagnosed with groin muscle fatigue, report The Guardian.
Kompany, 30, made his first competitive appearance for City since May in the League Cup win over Swansea in midweek but was forced off just minutes before full-time with another muscle injury.
The City captain has been plagued with a series of reoccurring muscle injuries in the last two years that has limited him to little game time and he is now set for more time in the physio room.
Kompany has suffered 34 injuries during his eight years at the club, with 30 of those coming in the last four years. City will find out the extent of his injury in the next 48 hours as further tests continue.
