Real Sociedad have reached a deal to sign highly rated goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli from Deportivo Maldonado for an initial €8m (£6m), according to Radio Marca Donostia.
Rulli spent the whole of last season on loan with Sociedad in La Liga and impressed with a number of high-class performances.
The 24-year-old has been tipped as the future No.1 for Argentina and was included in their preliminary squad for the Olympics in Brazil later this summer.
Only four goalkeepers made more saves in La Liga this season than Rulli (106), who finished the season with a respectable 70.2% save success rate.
