Borussia Dortmund set lower transfer demand for Manchester United target Sancho

Borussia Dortmund have set a revised valuation of €100m (£89m) for Manchester United target Jadon Sancho, Sky Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano informed The United Stand.

The former Manchester City academy graduate is expected to return to the Premier League this summer after three seasons at Dortmund.

Sancho has developed into one of the world's best young players in that time and Dortmund had hoped to command well in excess of €100m for his signature this summer.

However, transfer fees are expected to tumble in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic due to the devastating financial implications all over the world.

Dortmund are relaxed about Sancho's future and would like to keep the 20-year-old at the club for another year to give the market time to recover.

However, the Bundesliga outfit have reassessed their valuation of Sancho for this summer and are now willing to accept an offer of €100m.

United would still be required to break their club-transfer record to land the England international and it remains to be seen whether they feel that accurately reflects the post-coronavirus market.

Sancho was the first player in Europe's top five leagues to register double figures for goals and assists this season and has remarkably played a direct hand in 29 goals in 23 league appearances in 2019/20 (15 goals, 14 assists).
