Wolves complete shock club-record deal for Porto teenager

Wolves have confirmed the shock arrival of FC Porto forward Fabio Silva in a club-record deal worth €40m (£35.6m).

Silva, who only has three senior goals to his name, has put pen to paper on a five-year deal running until the summer of 2025.

Nuno's side have shelled out a club-record fee for the 18-year-old, eclipsing the money spent to sign Raul Jimenez permanently from Benfica in April 2019.

Wolves have already lost right-back Matt Doherty this summer and are braced for offers for the likes of Adama Traore, Ruben Neves and Jimenez.

Silva only made 15 appearances across league and European competition for FC Porto last summer, managing one goal in that time.
