West Ham sign Fabianski from relegated Swansea

West Ham have announced the arrival of Lukasz Fabianski from Swansea on a three-year deal.

Fabianski has secured an immediate return to the Premier League after Swansea were relegated last season.

The Poland international is currently away at the 2018 World Cup but West Ham have managed to pull off a reported £7m move for the goalkeeper.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side opted against making Joe Hart’s loan spell at the club permanent last season but have now addressed their problem in goal.

“West Ham is a massive club so I’m really happy to be joining at such an exciting time here,” Fabianski told the club’s official website.

“I will do my best on and off the pitch to help the team to achieve the best results possible and can’t wait to start this new chapter of my career."

West Ham have now made three signings this summer, after following up the arrival of Ryan Fredericks from Fulham on a free with the arrival of highly-rated defender Issa Diop in a reported £25m deal on Tuesday.

Only Jack Butland (142) made more saves than Fabianski (136) in the Premier League last season.
