PSV Eindhoven defender Jeffrey Bruma has rejected the chance to return to Chelsea in order to seal a move to Wolfsburg, according to Dutch outlet Eindhoven Dagblad, via Football Oranje.
Bruma, 24, enjoyed a stunning campaign for PSV last season as they successfully defended their league title and the Netherlands international is now set for a high profile move as a reward for his performances.
Incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte had personally contracted the central defender to offer him a return to Stamford Bridge but the Dutchman has rejected their advances, as well as an approach from Inter, to complete a move to German side Wolfsburg in a deal worth €13.5m (£11m).
Bruma was particularly impressive in PSV’s Champions League campaign last season where he finished in the WhoScored Team of the Tournament in UEFA’s premier competition (7.53).
