Ajax midfielder Riechedly Bazoer has revealed Barcelona are monitoring his development.
Bazoer, 19, is one of the most exciting prospects currently plying their trade in the Eredvisie and has courted the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs with his performances this season.
The teenager has been a revelation in Frank de Boer’s side and the Ajax starlet, who earned his first senior cap with the Netherlands this year, has now revealed he is being scouted extensively by reigning European champions, Barcelona.
“I’m not going to be mysterious about that [Barcelona interest],” Bazoer told Voetball International.
“Two months ago they told my brother, who’s my agent, about the interest.
“Marc Overmans also knows about the interest. They’re watching my games and keep an eye on me. I’ve to go on and follow the line of this year. We shall see what kind of beautiful things will come.”
The Ajax No.6 has already contributed five goals (two goals + three assists) in the league this season and his WhoScored rating of 7.20 ranks him among the highest rated teens on the continent.
