Leicester announce new deal for Maddison

Leicester have confirmed James Maddison has signed a new four-year deal running until the summer of 2024.

The Foxes have been locked in talks to secure Maddison's long-term future for a number of months following his standout Premier League campaign.

Maddison still had three years left to run on his original Leicester contract but Brendan Rodgers' side have moved to reward the creative midfielder.

Interest from Manchester United earlier in the 2019/20 campaign helped Maddisons secure bumper new terms.

Getting Maddison to pledge his long-term future to the club is a huge boost for Leicester, with Ben Chilwell on the verge of leaving for Chelsea.
