Crystal Palace have announced the arrival of Real Betis midfielder Victor Camarasa on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy.

Roy Hodgson’s side will be able to sign Camarasa on a permanent deal at the end of the season for a fee in the region of £15m.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Cardiff, who would have made his switch permanent had they not been relegated to the Championship.

Camarasa was one of very few positives for Cardiff last season and will now boost Palace’s creative options for the upcoming campaign.

Camarasa played a direct hand in nine goals in 32 league appearances for Cardiff last season (five goals, four assists, at least two more than any other player at the club.
