Leicester must up offer for striker target

Portuguese giants Sporting have rejected a £21m offer from Leicester for striker Islam Slimani, reports talkSPORT.

The Foxes are keen to bolster their attack further, despite the summer arrival of Ahmed Musa from CSKA Moscow.

Slimani, who netted 27 times for Sporting last season, has been attracting plenty of interest from the Premier League, with West Brom and Everton linked.

Sporting are now holding out for bids of £34m after a clause in his contract that would have allowed the Algerian to leave for £25m expired in June.
