Chelsea have announced Bertrand Traore has signed a new three-year deal with the club and will join Ajax on loan for the coming season.
Traore, 20, made his senior debut for Chelsea last season making 10 appearances but will return to the Eredivisie where he enjoyed a successful two years on loan with Vitesse from 2013 to 2015.
Antonio Conte’s side rate Traore highly and have got him to sign a new deal that runs until 2019 before allowing him to develop at Dutch giants Ajax for the coming season.
Only Memphis (5.4) averaged more shots per game than Traore (4.2) managed during his last season in the Dutch top-flight (2014/15) where he scored 14 goals in 33 appearances.
