Edinson Cavani signing a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain has not been completely ruled out, claims L'Equipe.
The 33-year-old's current deal is due to expire this summer and he is widely expected to leave PSG after dropping completely out of favour under Thomas Tuchel this season.
Cavani was close to joining Atletico Madrid in January and has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League on a free transfer this summer.
However, it has now sensationally emerged Cavani could end up renewing with PSG despite barely featuring for the Ligue 1 giants in 2019/20.
With Mauro Icardi set to return to Inter once his loan deal expires at the end of the season, PSG face the prospect of signing two new strikers this summer if Cavani does leave.
PSG have even been linked with an audacious move for Real Madrid ace Karim Benzema this summer but the former Lyon striker does not want to leave.
Cavani has been limited to just seven league starts and a further seven appearances from the bench in 2019/20. In that time he has played a direct hand in five goals (four goals, one assist).
