Chelsea have been told they will have to fork out €60m (£52m) to sign Juventus left-back Alex Sandro this summer, reports Tuttosport, via Football Italia.
Sandro has spent the last two seasons at Juventus after joining from Porto for €26m (£22.8m) in 2015 and the Brazil international has established himself as one of the best full-backs in Europe during that time.
The 26-year-old still has three years on his current Juventus deal and it would require Chelsea to table an offer the Serie A champions could not refuse in order to prize him away from the Old Lady this summer.
Sandro’s potential departure would leave Juventus short of options at left-back after they were forced to part ways with the experience of Patrice Evra as a result of Sandro’s blistering form in that area of the pitch.
Antonio Conte is keen to bolster his Chelsea side after securing a return to the Champions League for next season and Sandro has emerged as one of their transfer targets this summer, although it remains to be seen whether they’d be willing to make Sandro the most expensive defender of all-time.
Only Miralem Pjanic (60) and Paulo Dybala (58) created more chances for Juventus in Serie A last season than Sandro (50), while only Dybala (67) and Gonzalo Higuain (53) completed more dribbles than the Brazilian (49).
