Juventus put pressure on Manchester United target

Juventus want to conclude a swift deal for Arsenal ace Aaron Ramsey in January or they will switch their focus to Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, claims The Sun.

Ramsey will leave Arsenal at the end of the current campaign when his existing deal expires and reportedly already has big-money offers on the table from Juventus and Bayern Munich.

The Wales international will be free to agree a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs in January when he will only have six months left to run on his existing Arsenal deal.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool have all been linked with a move for the 27-year-old but risk missing out on his signature to one of their European rivals.

Juventus are willing to offer Ramsey wages worth up to £200,000-a-week but they want a quick answer from the Arsenal midfielder so they can focus on alternatives.

PSG midfielder Rabiot has also entered the final year of his current deal and looks set to leave the Ligue 1 giants at the end of the season.

Rabiot’s relationship with the club’s supporters has soured this season after stalling on new terms offered by PSG.

The France international was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona last summer and Ernesto Valverde’s side are still interested in signing him on a free in the summer.

However, Juventus will turn their attentions to Rabiot if Ramsey turns down their offer and the Old Lady are prepared to rival Barcelona for his signature.

The 23-year-old has started 11 league games for PSG this season and scored twice, while Ramsey has only started six league games for Arsenal and been forced to make seven further appearances as a substitute.

Despite struggling for regular playing time, Ramsey has weighed in with one goal and four assists for the Gunners in the Premier League this term.

In fact, only Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (9) and Alexandre Lacazette (7) have played a direct hand in more league goals for Arsenal than Ramsey (5) this term.
