Sevilla president makes Isla number one target

Sevilla club president Jose Castro has claimed that Mauricio Isla, who spent last season on loan at QPR, is the Europa League champions' number one target.

The Chile international will have an extended break following his nation's successful Copa America campaign but knows that his days at Juventus are all but numbered.

The Old Lady are keen to cash in on the wing-back, though Sevilla are thought to favour an initial loan with an obligation to buy the South American outright for €8m the following season.

Isla had something of a troubled time, along with compatriot Eduardo Vargas, at QPR last season, though he ended the campaign having averaged more tackles per game (3.1) than any teammate, making 26 appearances.
