Liverpool striker considers move abroad

Daniel Sturridge is open to offers from abroad as the Liverpool striker considers his Anfield future ahead of the January transfer window, claims The Daily Mail.

The 28-year-old will need to leave Liverpool next month in order to find regular playing time to force his way into the reckoning for England at the 2018 World Cup.

Sturridge missed Sunday’s 1-1 draw in the Merseyside derby with a slight hamstring injury but has struggled for game time ever since Klopp was appointed Liverpool manager in October 2015.

Liverpool would be reluctant to let Sturridge join a Premier League rival in January and a move abroad has not been ruled out by the former Chelsea and Manchester City striker.

Sturridge has only started four Premier League games this season and is firmly below Roberto Firmino in the pecking order and now faces competition from 20-year-old Dominic Solanke.

Despite a lack of playing time in league and in Europe, Sturridge is averaging a goal or an assist every 85.7 minutes of action in those competitions this season.

Do you think Sturridge will leave Liverpool in January? Why not buy shares in him on Football INDEX. His share price is currently £1.03 and has been as high as £1.72 this year. He would certainly near that figure with regular playing time in the second half of the season.
