Leicester have stepped up their interest in Hull City ace Harry Maguire at the end of the season and are now leading the chase for his signature, reports The Daily Mirror.
Maguire has been one of the most impressive players in the Premier League in 2017 and has really benefitted from Marco Silva’s arrival as Hull manager, leading to suggestions he could be on the verge of making a big move at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old will have 12 months remaining on his existing deal in the summer and Hull will be forced to cash in on the burly centre-back if they fail to secure his long-term future before the start of next season.
Leicester are unlikely to be the only team interested in Maguire should he become available but the Foxes are certainly determined to land the defender and are already putting in the groundwork to get ahead of their competitors.
Only two defenders have had more shots in the Premier League this season than Maguire (25), while no defender that has attempted 25 dribbles has done so with a better success rate than the Hull star (77.8%).
