Swansea’s fight against relegation has suffered a blow with Ki Sung-yueng ruled out for two weeks with a broken toe, the club have confirmed.
Ki, 27, has been a regular in the team under Bob Bradley, featuring in all five matches the American has been in charge of since succeeding at the start of October.
However, the South Korea international is now set to miss upcoming matches against Tottenham and Crystal Palace, with a view to return for Swansea’s huge game against Sunderland on December 10.
“The midfielder is expected to be out of action for around two weeks after suffering a fracture in the third toe of his right foot,” a statement read on Swansea’s official website.
Swansea’s season has gone from bad to worse since Bradley’s arrival at the helm. They have dropped to bottom of the table with only one win to their name all season, and are now five points adrift of safety.
Of players to have started at least 15 matches in the last five Premier League seasons no active player in the league has a better pass success rate than Ki (91.1%).
