Legendary Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has been offered to Paris Saint-Germain this summer by Portuguese giants Porto, reports L’Equipe, via Get French Football.
Casillas has spent the last two years at Porto after being unceremoniously kicked to the curb at Madrid by then-manager Jose Mourinho.
The 36-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool once again this summer as Jurgen Klopp ponders whether to address his goalkeeping situation for the second summer in a row but it has now emerged that the experienced shot-stopper could be heading to PSG.
Unai Emery’s side are expected to make news of Antero Henrique as their new sporting director official in the near future and then a decision will be made whether they need a new goalkeeper with Kevin Trapp and Alphonse Areola already on their books.
Henrique was responsible for bringing Casillas from Madrid to Porto during his time at the Portuguese club and reports suggest a similar deal could be on the cards this summer.
Casillas played an integral part in Porto’s league title triumph this season and finished the campaign with at least two more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in the division (19).
