It’s been a bad few months for Arsenal and now things could be about to get even worse as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could join Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in leaving the club this summer, reports ESPN.
Sanchez and Ozil have been stalling on signing new deals all season and look set to leave the club this summer when they will only have 12 months remaining on their existing contracts.
Sanchez, in particular, looks destined to leave the club regardless of whether Arsene Wenger stays at Arsenal over the summer after being dropped from the team last weekend for storming out of training in the build up to their 3-1 defeat to Liverpool.
Ozil, meanwhile, has already revealed he is not willing to agree to extend his stay at Arsenal until he is given assurances about Wenger’s future and the Germany international is reportedly set to reject the club’s latest £200,000-a-week offer of a new deal.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been a figure of frustration in each of Arsenal’s damning defeats to Bayern Munich in the Champions League in the last month but has arguably been one of their better performers in what has been a disastrous few weeks for the club.
The 23-year-old will also have just 12 months remaining on his contract at the end of the season and believes the fact that Sanchez and Ozil could both leave this summer signals a lack of ambition from the club.
Oxlade-Chamberlain managed a staggering 10 dribbles from central midfield against Bayern on Tuesday, no player has managed more in a Champions League game this season.
