Christian Stuani is set to join Championship side Middlesbrough after the club agreed a £2.8m fee with Espanyol for the striker.
Uruguayan international Stuani made two substitute appearances for his country at the Copa America this summer off the back of a campaign that saw him register double figures in La Liga goals for the first time in 5 seasons.
The 28-year old scored 12 times despite the fact that he was an understudy to Sergio Garica and Felipe Caicedo for much of the season, with Boro needing a replacement for last season's top scorer Patrick Bamford.
In the starting XI for just 15 of his 37 La Liga appearances last season, Stuani scored a goal more often (every 145.7 minutes) than any other Espanyol player.
