The agent of Robert Lewandowski has dismissed reports suggesting the striker has signed a new long-term deal with Bayern Munich.
Lewandowski, 28, has three years remaining on his existing deal with Bayern but has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.
Reports had emerged over the weekend suggesting the Poland international had renewed terms with Bayern until 2021 but his agent, Maik Barthel, has dismissed those claims.
“There is nothing new to report in terms of Robert Lewandowski’s situation,” he tweeted.
Lewandowski is widely regarded as one of Europe’s best strikers and it’s unsurprising that a player of his calibre has been linked with a big money move to Madrid in the past.
The former Borussia Dortmund striker has previously refused to rule out a move to Zinedine Zidane’s side, but a new deal would surely put any possibility of that move to an end.
In the last three Bundesliga campaigns Lewandowksi has scored at least four more goals than any other player (52).
