Arsenal striker Aubameyang not for sale amid interest from China
Arsenal are not considering Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s departure this summer amid interest from China, claims the London Evening Standard.
Aubameyang has two years left to run on his current Arsenal contract after joining the Gunners from Borussia Dortmund 18 months ago.
The Gabon international has been a goalscoring machine for Arsenal since his arrival and Unai Emery’s side want to prolong his stay at the Emirates.
Aubameyang has interest from China where he would be able to command enormous wages but Arsenal are determined to fend off any interest.
The north London outfit would offer Aubameyang an increase on his current £190,000-a-week wages and are confident of securing his long-term future.
Aubameyang was linked with a move to China before joining Arsenal and the Gunners believe he is now settled in London.
Since joining Arsenal at the end of January 2018, only Mohamed Salah (35) has scored more goals than Aubameyang (32) in the Premier League.
