Bayern eye Argentinian star

Bayern Munich will move for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain if they fail to hang on to Robert Lewandowksi at the end of the season, reports Sport 1.

Carlo Ancelotti, who will replace Pep Guardiola at the end of the season, has already made keeping Lewandowski at the Allianz Arena his number one priority.

Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for Lewandowski at the end of the season and Ancelotti will know he has a challenge on his hand to persuade the Poland international to resist the allure of Madrid.

And if Bayern fail to keep hold of Lewandowski, the Bundesliga champions will look to sign Higuain, who Ancelotti is a huge fan of.

“Who would I take to my next club? Among the foreigners in Serie A I’d choose Higuain, as he brought Napoli to the top positions with his goals,” Ancelotti recently told Mediaset Premium.

In fact, only Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (18) has scored more goals across Europe’s top five leagues than Higuain (16).
